I am part of the "True Piano Legacy" (Nelita, Wesley, and Marilyn True) according to Hinson Pianist’s Dictionary. You see, I grew up in the Midwest, specifically Warrensburg, Missouri. The Show Me State! And my parents are both pianists. Also in my family are two "rescued' cats -- Poco (gorgeous black – and oh so friendly!) and Cleo (a long haired calico).

I got close to a double degree in vocal performance and piano performance years ago, so used to sing a lot and I even played flute through high school! My DMA & Performer's Certificate come from Eastman School of Music.

These days, I love hiking in the Tetons each summer. I also love to watch Dexter - just amazing. This past season with John Lithgow was superb!  And the entire Law and Order group is fascinating. Fleisher once told me it reminded him of Bach with beautiful architectural structure. For movies, it would depend on the day, my mood, the purpose -- I love so many movies!   If you want art films -- My Mother's Castle, and My Father's Glory, Russian Ark, the three colors (blue, white, red), the Decalogue, classic films -- Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird. I grew up with Star Wars, and so sci-fi films -- Donnie Darko, and one must mention Monty Python's Holy Grail. Tomorrow I'll have a different list...

I cook some, but not nearly as well (or as often) as my male SOLI co-horts! My favorite foods and drinks include egg whites (a staple!), but they aren't really a yummy meal. Chocolate and great wine. Right now, a passion: Rusty Nails. I also make mean Cosmos and Margaritas but one can’t have any of those very often!!
