Even though I'm not a native Texan, I feel quite comfortable in cowboy boots. I was born in Palo Alto and grew up in Berkley in the mid 60's. I hung out with Timothy Leary's god daughters Zena and Dana! They were always barefoot. Then I moved to New Jersey (the nice part) and played cello in groups from Carnegie Hall to Atlantic City.

I used to race mountain bikes, and have played a couple decades of soccer matches (just ask my ankles!). These days when I am not teaching or playing, I am an avid road biker and love to run. Oh and occasional hiking with my maniacal wife. We have two dogs Sophie and Chara. They let me sleep in the bed.

My favorite food is French cuisine, maybe some escargot or anything with truffles. My friends always seem to look to me to pair wine with the meal, it is another of my passions, vino!

If I am watching TV, I'd have to say the remote finds its way to either Law and Order or Californication. I also adore the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey. While I would hold it like a cello if I had to play violin, I mostly envy violinists only because they don't have to pay for an extra seat on airplanes!
